Assisted Living Home in Minnesota | Awin People Care
Our adult companion services are non-medical social support for those with disabilities or those requiring age-related assistance. Our compassionate attendants provide support with daily tasks that don’t require healthcare training or licensure. We understand the importance of social engagements with others in a meaningful way. Our caregivers help promote better mental health and well-being through social connections and being a friend that provides uplifting care to improve symptoms of depression and ease the feeling of loneliness.
It’s important to note that our adult companion services are distinct from medical care. At Awin People Care, our caregivers are devoted to enriching the lives of those we serve in a way that’s as unique and diverse as the individuals themselves.
When a person is on a disability waiver or the Alternative Care (AC) program and over the age of 18, our adult companion services could include:
Note: Waiver Reimagine simplified service changes are only for the disability waivers – Brain Injury (BI), Community Alternative Care (CAC), Community Access for Disability Inclusion (CADI), and Developmental Disabilities (DD) – and will NOT affect the Elderly Waiver and its use of adult companion service.
